Found this fabric at Hancocks' on the clearance bin. $6 per yd.
Don't you love the color codes on the edges of fabrics?
To be honest, I wasn't sold out on the fabric at first. But at that price and knowing it'd be a temporary fix, I could live with it for now. They turned out better than I imagined.
A little iron on hemming tape on all sides and up they go. No lining since they'll stay pulled back.
Sometimes ignorance turns to bliss.

Tammie, they look great! I love the fabric that you chose.
I had not heard of drop cloth drapes...but I think what you ended up with looks so elegant! :D
I love that fabric. It's perfect in the room.
I painted my stripes on the Ikea curtains & those too soaked up the paint. I love your new dining room curtains. Great job!

Tammie I love your Drapery, especially the black, red and white color scene...this is stunning! Thank you for sharing your work! Have a great day! xoxoxo
I love your new drapes....curtains can make such a huge difference in a room! great job!
Your drapes are gorgeous, Tammie! I love the color and pattern!
I made a table runner with drop cloth...the paint went on fine, didn't even absorb to the other side. I can imagine that curtains would be a HUGE project though!!
XO,
Jane
LOL love your last sentence! They look great. I didn't know the paint would be so absorbed in the drop cloths, but maybe that's what they do and why they are called that.
I do think your choice turned out very well!
Tammie they are gorgeous; the pattern and colors are perfect!

They look really nice and I love your dark walls. I saw a show that did that once and fell in love then. Art looks so good on dark walls!
Outstanding!
Your curtains look great! It all worked out in the end! You are right, though, those dropcloths do soak the paint up!

What about window treatments?
Well, they are expensive and, though some windows can be left bare, others need to be covered for privacy. What to do? Well, in this case, if the perfect window treatment isn’t affordable right today, then some inexpensive covering will need to be purchased. Blinds of all kinds are not pricey and usually can be kept even when the real†treatment is added in a year or so.
